Aaron Caldwell is the Maddie’s® Canine Lifesaving Specialist for American Pets Alive!, providing support and assistance to shelters across the country in an effort to increase their life saving capacity. Before joining American Pets Alive!, he spent the past 10 years working for Austin Pets Alive! most recently as the Dog Behavior Program Manager in Austin, TX. While in this role Aaron helped to develop playgroup, in shelter canine enrichment, community support services, behavior foster, care pathways, a behavior modification team, APA!’s volunteer and staff handler training, as well as their behavior foster program. Aaron currently is working with Human Animal Support Services mission to build community-centered sheltering practices and provides direct assistance to organizations seeking to change the future of animal welfare in their community and across the world.
