Erin worked in the private practice veterinary field for many years, and transitioned to working in animal sheltering in 2018. She was the Community Outreach Coordinator at Seattle Humane, where she oversaw programs dedicated to shelter diversion and supporting pet owners in crisis. She holds a Master’s Degree of Public Health from the University of Washington, and has studied the connection between human and animal health through an integrated veterinary-healthcare model serving individuals experiencing homelessness with companion animals. She is passionate about community based programming and is excited to work with a team that is dedicated to changing the animal sheltering system as a whole, and doing this while meeting their communities where they’re at.
